1. Clear instructions and information in multiple languages on facilities usage, etc 2. Good lighting, comfortable bedding, spacious bathroom, air conditioning is good (noisy though) 3. Near to bakery, convenient stores and local food 4. Free flow of drinking and bottled water, free use of massage chair, laundry washer/dryer, lounge and pantry (similar concept to Taiwan / Korea), we left a small gratuity in the donation box during checkout 5. Adequate sockets / charging ports at writing table (made of glass which could be hazardous) 6. Free (limited) parking space 7. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception, fast check-in and checkout Plus point: List of attractions with directions are provided upon booking

This place was great! The room was really clean and comfortable. Nice bed, desk, a bunch of outlets, also a set of hooks!(hooks are so helpful when you’re living out of a backpack:) The shower was hot with good pressure, nice towels, plus a bath mat(always a plus to keep the room dry). Location is great, near the Lake Gardens and a bunch of restaurants, and the hotel sent a whole list of recommendations which were great. All the staff are so nice and constantly asking if we needed anything. It’s a cute place too, nice decor and fresh flowers in vases all over. There was a communal kitchen and water dispensers. Really a wonderful stay.

Excellent place to stay. Really comfortable rooms with great views over the mountains. All new stuff. A really fun slide from levels 3 to 2. A free massage chair, free laundry. Kitchens on every floor and free water refills. Staff there most of the time and a lift. Flexible in terms of leaving bags etc. The best hotel in Taiping! We visited the orangutang sanctuary in bukit merah on the morning of check out. Left to catch the 9.45 ferry and were back by 12 to check out. Great food market nearby too

And all of them are complimentary for hotel guests -- just leave a tip in the box to help them sustain the amenities
